Policy changes needed

1) Globalization is d trend 2day. But it aggravates d brain drain in Malaysia. To understand diz, we need 2 look at our immigration policies, which were formulated in d 1950s when people couldn't travel easily.

2) We didn't want people coming into d country then, so our policies stopped people coming in. We believed our people wouldn't want 2 go out, so our policies didn't stop them going out.

3)But 2day, d world has changed. It's now very easy 2 travel, it only takes about 20 hrs 2 fly 2 the other side of d world. With this ease in travel, physical borders can no longer stop people from entering or leaving a country. So people go out, especially those with knowledge and skills. Others countries offer them, so they leave n we lose our best people.

4) At d same time, we ve policy which stops brains from coming in. But we also need workers, so we allow uneducated people 2 come in.So what we get is no inflow of brain, but inflow of d brainless.

5) All this because we r using an outdated immigration policy. We must remember that in future, all countries will ve a multi-racial population. There wont be a single ethnic nation anymore. Five million of d people in France 2day r Algerians, England has many Indian restaurants. People will b moving around, either legally or illegally, n settling down where they live.

6) The only country may not change is China. With its 1.3 billion people. People who go China become Chinese. Kublai Khan conquered China n became Chinese. The Maricus conquered China n became Chinese. There r so many Chinese, you get diluted, the Chinese dont.

7) To attract youth n talent, we need 2 change our policy 2 consider d mobility of youth n talent.
