Policy changes needed

1) Globalization is d trend 2day. But it aggravates d brain drain in Malaysia. To understand diz, we need 2 look at our immigration policies, which were formulated in d 1950s when people couldn't travel easily.

2) We didn't want people coming into d country then, so our policies stopped people coming in. We believed our people wouldn't want 2 go out, so our policies didn't stop them going out.

3)But 2day, d world has changed. It's now very easy 2 travel, it only takes about 20 hrs 2 fly 2 the other side of d world. With this ease in travel, physical borders can no longer stop people from entering or leaving a country. So people go out, especially those with knowledge and skills. Others countries offer them, so they leave n we lose our best people.

4) At d same time, we ve policy which stops brains from coming in. But we also need workers, so we allow uneducated people 2 come in.So what we get is no inflow of brain, but inflow of d brainless.

5) All this because we r using an outdated immigration policy. We must remember that in future, all countries will ve a multi-racial population. There wont be a single ethnic nation anymore. Five million of d people in France 2day r Algerians, England has many Indian restaurants. People will b moving around, either legally or illegally, n settling down where they live.

6) The only country may not change is China. With its 1.3 billion people. People who go China become Chinese. Kublai Khan conquered China n became Chinese. The Maricus conquered China n became Chinese. There r so many Chinese, you get diluted, the Chinese dont.

7) To attract youth n talent, we need 2 change our policy 2 consider d mobility of youth n talent.

1 Future

1) The future, life is perfect, everyone has a job from government.Everyone has a house from d government. The government loves everyone. It takes care of everyone. We have a real integration.Everyone is assigned a new family everyday. We r one at last.

2) One day, something goes wrong. There's a man, he can't open d door 2 his house. D one assigned 2 him...for d day by government.Diz has never happened b4. He tries for 2 hrs, he tries in vain. If he doesn't get into his house, he'll not get his instruction 4 trow, n if he doesn't get his instruction, he doesn't know how 2 live.

3) The thought is unbearable, so he panics, he press d emergency button, he waits... Is anyone coming 2 help him? He wonders if he is allowed 2 speak. Speaking has been forbidden for 10 yrs. But diz is an emergency, so he clears his throat. He moves his lips. An agent soon appears...

4) She is friendly. She arrest him. He's shocked! He says, " is diz a misunderstanding?". The agent takes notes. Perhaps he's made a mistake by speaking. But he's done nothing wrong.

4) He says: "There's something wrong with d system". Now he's done something really wrong.

5) This's a story of one citizen. All other citizens continue 2 live perfect lives...

Open Your Eyes

"...Open our eyes, our hearts, and minds
If we just look bright to see the signs
We can’t keep hiding from the truth
Let it take us by surprise
Take us in the best way..."

1) Maher Zain, what a popular nasheed's singer today. Maher Zain was born in 1981 in Lebanon. His father Mustapha Maher was a singer in his hometown Tripoli (in Lebanon). His family moved to Sweden when Maher was only eight, where he continued his schooling. Maher got his first keyboard when he was ten. He later entered university and got a Bachelors degree in Aeronautical Engineering. During his teenage years, he liked to spend late nights at school with his friends where they would sing, rap, compose and experiment with music in every way.(source: wikipedia)

2) "Open Your Eyes" is the very first song I heard from this singer. This is a very touching song from Maher Zain. Every lyrics of this song is so meaningful, not just for Muslims, but for all humankind who want to be think. Maher was brilliantly pick some verses from Qu'ran and compose it to make a beautiful song.

3) His nassheds are so inspiring! 'syukran akhi' for open my eyes. Honestly,I was shocked to the depth of meaning and the lyrics that he bring, let this be a reminder to us and not carried away with the song that we forget the Qur’an. Nothing to match the depth of meaning and truth of its beauty qur’an.

4) Actually it’s a nasheed that speak to our minds and hearts. Hopefully this song can really open our eyes.

p/s: my favourite songs from Maher Zain: Inshallah,Baraka Allah Lakuma, Open Your Eyes,Thank You Allah

Open Your Eyes

By: Maher Zain
Look around yourselves
Can’t you see this wonder
Spreaded infront of you
The clouds floating by
The skies are clear and blue
Planets in the orbits
The moon and the sun
Such perfect harmony

Let’s start question in ourselves
Isn’t this proof enough for us
Or are we so blind
To push it all aside..
No..

{chorus} We just have to
Open our eyes, our hearts, and minds
If we just look bright to see the signs
We can’t keep hiding from the truth
Let it take us by surprise
Take us in the best way
(Allah..)
Guide us every single day..
(Allah..)
Keep us close to You
Until the end of time..

Look inside yourselves
Such a perfect order
Hiding in yourselves
Running in your veins
What about anger love and pain
And all the things you’re feeling
Can you touch them with your hand?
So are they really there?

Lets start question in ourselves
Isn’t this proof enough for us?
Or are we so blind
To push it all aside..?
No..

{chorus}

When a baby’s born
So helpless and weak
And you’re watching him growing..
So why deny
Whats in front of your eyes
The biggest miracle of life..

We just have to
Open our eyes, our hearts, and minds
If we just look quiet we’ll see the signs
We can’t keep hiding from the truth
Let it take us by surprise
Take us in the best way
(Allah..)
Guide us every single day..
(Allah..)
Keep us close to You
Until the end of time..

{chours}

Allah..
You created everything
We belong to You
Ya Robb we raise our hands
Forever we thank You..
Alhamdulillah..

Good Value

"...first, I don't know what should be talk to patient.Truly we was raising up in less communication environment. we (Malay) are quite shy and too humble...

"for me people from west is not really smart as we see. they are like us. What makes us different from them is just the way they communicate.

"for them,'thank you' n 'please' are necessary words. They are easy to express their emotional compare with us which is tends to hide it.~Prof. Madya Dr. Khatijah Lim Abdullah, UM nursing lecturer

That's some opinions from a nursing's lecturer. Even she came form poor background, but she can success like other people. her spirit that she uphold inspired me a lot.Prof. Khatijah is a chosen individual and was awarded Anugerah Tuanku Bainun by Raja Permaisuri Perak, Tuanku Bainun at Subang Jaya in conjunction with World Nursing Day lately. She also the first individual who hold Philosophy of Doctor(Ph.D) in nursing field.

That's some good values from west culture that we can take and practice in order for us to success in our life. A good communication is very important to build a good relationship among people, convey information, and to make negotiation run smoothly as well.Nowadays, the element of appreciation in Malay culture is very hard to see. They tend to hide their expression and quite shy giving opinions.

For me, that kind of attitudes should be changed and replace with other positive attitude. As long as we d0nt change,we can't move forward and be successful.

Animal-testing

Animal-testing will go on despite protest :"They say do not test on animals, but many medications were tested on animals. So when they are sick, do not take these medicine, eat only vegetables."-Mallaca Chief Minister

I wonder, why people still want to argue about this issue.Do they still not clear on how medicine was produced, or do they lack of knowledge about science medicine?

For people out there who still doubt, GOD created physiology of animal quite similar with human, so that we can carry on some medical testing to animal before it was guaranteed safe to be used by human. Yes, we also should protect animals, and we can't denying their right to live peacefully. They also become part of our life, but if that testing was carried on the right manner,I don't see any reason why people should against it.

An animal testing picture showing a kitten ‘press-ganged’

Talking about animal, for rich people, they are willing to spend more money buying and take care of expensive animal, and make certain animal as their valuable collection, even there are still many poor people out there who living in starvation, don't have enough clean water, and facing many variation of disease where's the medicine still unfounded.

In order to avoid medication testing on animal, don't say you want to give alternative suggestion :"we can do medication test on plant ma"...

ASMIC'10

Academy Science Malaysia International Conference (ASMIC) was held on 2-3 /Jun/1010, with a special guest, Tun Dr. Mahathir Mohamad. For the 1st day, Tun delivered a speech about 'Building an Innovation Nation'. In his speech, he talked about mind set, that's how 2 change mind set of people to be creative and innovative, and 2 make it as a culture as well in our nation.

Tun also make a comparison between science and geography.where is, science is a field that needed people 2 b creative n innovative 2 master it, because d knowledge in science isn't fix. with continues research by researcher or scientist, science can progress quickly. compare with geographical, it's a fix knowledge. for example, if we study about boundary of a country, it will not change, even it change, it's just a little bit, or with some improvement in that knowledge. It's same with history. So it's not quite difficult for people 2 learn this subject. Moreover, creative n innovative not really needed 2 master these subject, but in science, both criteria r really needed.

At the end of his speech, tun leave a question, weather we really want 2 b a innovative nation, or we will be left by others in this challenging environment.

For the 2nd day, conference was continued with presentation from presenter that from various agencies. They talked a lot about the need of a gd S&T Policy, and National Innovation System (NIS), that are really needed 2 b implemented for us 2 b success in science n technology(S&T) like others, for example Republic of Korea (ROK)

The others practical students, including me were involved in this project. We got many valuable experiences .We ve chances 2 meet with educated person, lecturers,CEO's from various companies,ASM's fellows, VIPs, and the most importantly, our fourth former prime minister.

As an organizer of this conference, i want 2 tq 2 all our special guest n participants that make this conference 2 b successful. Hope 2 c u again for the next conference.

These r some pictures during ASMIC i put here, 2 share.

Manuskrip tulisan tangan Einstein

Teori relativiti Albert Einstein

"APABILA lelaki duduk bersama gadis cantik selama satu jam ia bagaikan satu minit.

Kemasyhuran Einstein mengakibatkan beliau sering didampingi wanita.

EINSTEIN (dua dari kiri) pernah ditawarkan menjadi presiden Israel kerana kepintarannya.

Tukar kerakyatan AS

Kampung Boy

1) knowledge is become more important for a country to develop. without knowledge, nothing would grow.today, to gain a knowledge, it can be from many sources, among which is,of course reading. but the question is, how many people out there who enjoy reading, especially people at rural area. reading still not be Malaysian's habit, even many programs already implemented by our government, but it seems still not work well.

2)In the train, LRT, bus stop, or anywhere, our people did not practice this habit .they prefer 2 waste their time with daydream, or do some 'rubbish talking'. that's the usual scenario we can see at the cities, but at the villages it's quite different. As an older men, they should be the role model for a young children, but unfortunately they tend to waste their time at 'kedai kopi'. what with this attitude?

3)Nowadays, to participate in lifelong learning, one must first love 2 read.Of course, we can also acquire knowledge through television, but we can't gain education just by watching television alone. They say, a picture paints a thousand words. Sometimes, when u look at a picture, u see not just one, but many thousands of words, but understanding still not come and u don't produce.

4)Guys, reading's different. Thi's because it will stay longer in yr mind.U will learn something when u read. u learn not only the knowledge contained in the book, but also the language and the way the book is written.

5) So, reading will improve our communication. A person who just watches television or movie can't learn how to communicate well, but a person who enjoy reading of course can. Communication is one of the weaknesses in human society. the ability to convey yr thinking to another person is a communication skill.

6) i start reading when i was young. i was raised at rural area. im a 'kampung boy'. my mom is one of the responsible persons who teach me how to read and write well.Even she is not graduated from higher education, but 2 give the education to her children(even with religion), she never compromised.i still remember when i was young, i always want to start crying when she taught me on something, like reading or recite Quran, my be because the way she taught me, i cant accept, or may be im a quite naughty boy.

7)Another person who encouraged me to like reading and maths subject is my father. He is a teacher at secondary school. He's more straight than my mother...

My Way

  • It It has been a very long time since i post something on this blog, it's almost 2 years I haven't update this blog. i almost forgot i have a blog. Maybe I'm quite busy with something else like assignment, entertainment, badminton, download, etc . Actually many things I want to share with all my readers out there, such as my new experiences, my opinion on current issues, knowledge, tips, latest movie and song, etc.
  • But now I'm back! with a fresh thinking and critical views. So as the first start, within a new month and a new year (2010), I want to share with you a good lyrics, 'My Way'. what I can tell you guys, This's a great song by Frank Sinatra, and its so meaningful to me.I said that because, on my 1st performance, during singing competition, I used to sing this song. Every lyrics on this song has inspired me a lot. You know what, sometime, I play this song quite lots in my room, until all my roommates can sing this song very well.
  • Hopefully this lyric can inspire you too. I dedicate this lyric special for my ex-roommates (D207 and D317), and to all people out there who have a goal and ambition to achieve.May this year (2010) be a good start for us to achieve something in our life.So guys, enjoy the lyrics!

My Way lyrics
Songwriters: Revaux, Jacques; Anka, Paul (Eng Lyr); Thibaut, Gilles; Francois, Claude;

And now the end is near
And so I face the final curtain
My friend I'll say it clear
I'll state my case of which I'm certain

I've lived a life that's full
I traveled each and every highway
And more, much more than this
I did it my way

Regrets I've had a few
But then again too few to mention
I did what I had to do
And saw it through without exemption

I planned each charted course
Each careful step along the byway
And more, much more than this
I did it my way

Yes there were times I'm sure you knew
When I bit off more than I could chew
But through it all when there was doubt
I ate it up and spit it out, I faced it all
And I stood tall and did it my way

I've loved, I've laughed and cried
I've had my fill, my share of losing
And now as tears subside
I find it all so amusing

To think I did all that
And may I say not in a shy way
Oh no, oh no, not me
I did it my way

For what is a man what has he got
If not himself then he has not
To say the things he truly feels
And not the words of one who kneels
The record shows I took the blows
And did it my way

Yes it was my way
